We are looking for an experienced Technical Team Lead who can take ownership of driving software delivery, engineering quality, and technical excellence across modern application products used by real end users. You will lead a small engineering team while also staying hands-on with development, helping turn product requirements into scalable, reliable, and production-ready software.

This role is for someone who can combine strong technical execution with practical engineering leadership. You should be comfortable building features, reviewing code, mentoring developers, improving engineering standards, and helping the team deliver high-quality software with consistency and accountability.

You will not only manage technical tasks. You will think through product requirements, system quality, code maintainability, delivery timelines, developer productivity, technical trade-offs, and long-term scalability. You will be expected to guide engineers, support technical problem-solving, and ensure that features are delivered with strong attention to quality, usability, and business impact.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You should be able to actively contribute to development while also enabling a team of engineers through coaching, feedback, pair programming, code reviews, and practical technical direction. The role requires approximately 50% hands-on development and 50% team enablement, technical guidance, and delivery support.

The ideal candidate has strong full-stack software development experience, proven technical leadership skills, SaaS product experience, and the ability to help engineering teams deliver dependable software for serious products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver complex product features and enhancements.
  • Lead a team of 3-5 engineers and establish best engineering practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide detailed, constructive feedback.
  • Mentor team members through technical guidance, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Break down product requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks.
  • Coordinate development efforts and support timely delivery of product features.
  • Establish and maintain coding standards, quality benchmarks, and development processes.
  • Drive technical decision-making while balancing speed, quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Build scalable, high-quality application features for customer-facing products.
  • Improve team productivity, engineering effectiveness, and delivery consistency.
  • Support engineers in solving complex technical challenges.
  • Use AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and software delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, accountability, and engineering excellence.

Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
  • 2+ years of technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and reviewing code.
  • Proven experience building and delivering SaaS products.
  • Strong experience with modern web application development technologies.
  • Ability to design, build, and ship production-ready application features.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish engineering standards, best practices, and development processes.
  • Experience coordinating technical work across multiple contributors.
  • Strong understanding of code quality, maintainability, scalability, and software delivery practices.
  • Ability to provide clear technical guidance, constructive feedback, and practical mentorship.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
  • Track record of helping engineers grow through coaching, feedback, and mentorship.
  • Familiarity with agile development workflows and remote-first engineering environments.

Experience Level

Senior level, typically 5+ years in full-stack software development with 2+ years in technical leadership, team lead, or engineering mentorship roles.
