Actively Hiring

ShipDevs supports fast-moving teams by connecting them with vetted remote professionals across technical and operational roles.

We are looking for a skilled iOS Developer who can take ownership of building reliable, polished, and production-ready iOS applications. You will work closely with product, design, backend, and QA teams to turn requirements into smooth mobile experiences for iPhone and iPad users.

This role is for someone who can understand product goals, write clean mobile code, and build iOS features that are stable, scalable, and easy to maintain. You should be comfortable working with existing applications, fixing bugs, improving performance, and shipping updates that support real users.

You will not only build screens. You will think through user flows, app architecture, API integration, offline behavior, permissions, performance, crash prevention, Apple platform guidelines, and long-term maintainability. You will be expected to make practical technical decisions, follow iOS best practices, and collaborate with backend teams to ensure smooth data flow.

This is a hands-on mobile engineering role. You should be able to take features from requirement to App Store release, troubleshoot device-specific issues, improve app quality, and build solutions that can grow with the product.

The ideal candidate has strong iOS development experience, solid knowledge of Swift, API integration skills, and the ability to build dependable mobile applications for real-world use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-quality iOS applications for iPhone and iPad.
  • Develop clean, responsive, and user-friendly iOS screens and components.
  • Integrate iOS applications with REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and third-party services.
  • Implement authentication, local storage, push notifications, permissions, and background tasks.
  • Improve app performance, stability, loading speed, and crash-free user experience.
  • Debug and fix iOS issues across different devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
  • Work with designers to translate UI/UX requirements into polished mobile experiences.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to ensure reliable API integration and data handling.
  • Maintain clean app architecture, reusable components, and scalable code structure.
  • Support app testing, release preparation, TestFlight distribution, and App Store deployment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong experience with iOS development using Swift.
  • Experience building and maintaining production iOS applications.
  • Good understanding of iOS SDK, Xcode, Cocoa Touch, UIKit, SwiftUI, and app lifecycle management.
  • Experience with modern iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API or GraphQL integration.
  • Experience with local storage, Core Data, caching, and offline-first mobile behavior.
  • Understanding of push notifications, permissions, background tasks, and mobile security best practices.
  • Ability to debug crashes, performance issues, memory leaks, and device-specific bugs.
  • Familiarity with Git, code reviews, testing, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to build smooth, reliable mobile experiences.

Experience Level

Mid to senior level, typically 3+ years in iOS development or mobile application development roles.
